Dr. Ali Zavabeti is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, specializing in Process Simulation and Control.
Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he supervises PhD students, guiding them on various multidisciplinary topics. Ali’s primary research revolves around the utilization of low energy consuming catalytic framework for greenhouse gas capture and conversion, as well as the synthesis of innovative nanogenerators and antibacterial materials. His work also focuses on the development of low-energy technologies that are beneficial for efficient solar power generation and distribution.
Prior to his research career, Ali accumulated seven years of experience as an automation engineer at ABB Australia. During this time, he offered process automation solutions across multiple industries in Australia, including Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Petrochemicals, and Utilities. His extensive industrial background enriches his understanding of practical applications and strengthens his ability to bridge the gap between theory and real-world implementation.
